Terms and Conditions of Enrolment
Coaching Terms
Ace Tennis Australia employs 4 State Queensland State Government School Terms per calendar year.
Coaching Fees
All coaching fees must be paid in full at the time of enrolment and before commencement of the coaching period.
As we follow the Queensland State Government School Terms some term fees will be higher or lower depending on the number of weeks in the up-coming term. School terms can vary in length and can be 8 weeks, 10 weeks, and even 11 weeks. The 2009 Queensland State School Terms (the system we run with) are indicated on the program enrolment form.
Payment can be made by cash, money order, cheque or via the internet – refer to program enrolment form for EFT banking details.
Program fees are based on one program per week, dependant on the group size. Should additional programs per student be required per week, membership program discounts are made available (only available to Ace Tennis Australia Members).
Membership Discounts
Membership program discounts only apply to fees paid in full 21 days prior to the commencement of the term.
Refunds and Credits
Credits or refunds cannot be given after commencement of the first week of the program, as commitment from coaches, and other players is established. By the end of the first week coaches are committed to a location and lesson time for the duration of the coaching period, and Ace Tennis Australia needs to meet the financial obligations of employing coaches and court hire. However, students affected by long-term injury or illness, are eligible to attend make-up sessions at the end of the illness or injury period, upon presentation of a Doctors certificate.
If your Child misses a lesson, it is your responsibility to call us if you require a make-up lesson. However, due to our class max limit numbers, we cannot guarantee a replacement class and hence this does not warrant a reduction from the term fee or a credit.
Based on the requested group size (6, 4 or 1 – in case of private lessons), Ace Tennis Australia will endeavour to arrange a complete group. If a full group cannot be arranged a class may not be able to take place at that time. Hence, commitment to a lesson time is non-refundable once enrolled as this may forfeit the session for the whole class due to the class becoming financially unviable. However, students who are new to the Ace Tennis Australia program are able to try an initial obligation free trial lesson.
Wet Weather
If tennis fixtures or lessons are cancelled due to rain, a message will be placed on our answering service one hour before commencement of a lesson is due to occur. We will also endeavour to send sms messages to parent's mobile phones if lessons are cancelled. Please call 07 3103 8672 and/or check your mobile to confirm if your child's lesson will proceed in the event of wet weather.
IMPORTANT: !!! If a lesson or fixtures session is cancelled due to rain COACHES WILL NOT BE AT THE LESSON LOCATION to meet the children. Parents will need to make alternate arrangements for the supervision and collection of their children.
Make-up Lessons
Should lessons be affected by public holidays or pupil free days, make-up classes will be organised to ensure students receive their scheduled number of lessons in a particular term. Everyone is expected to attend their designated make-up session, if not in the scheduled session, then at another pre-arranged time during the week. Non-attendance at make-up sessions does not warrant a credit for the session or deduction from the term fee. A credit or a refund will only be given for tennis fixtures that are cancelled due to rain.
